This started out as a sketch of an upper half of a dragon. I had tried to put back legs on it time after time, but no pose seemed to work- Until my brother stated that the dragon reminded him of a djinn because the bottom half would look good if it faded into smoke.
I decided it was a great idea, and went with it! Also, since Djinns (I believe) are originally from Middle Eastern mythology or someplace near, I tried to keep with a sort of dusty, ancient, sandy look to the colouring.
I love how this turned out!
